Liaoning Fuxin vigorously dismantles coal-fired boilers to improve air quality

Since the autumn of 2017, Fuxin City has increased investment in the Blue Sky Project and raised 24.08 million yuan to support the demolition of coal-fired boilers and bulk coal treatment projects. It is understood that since the autumn of 2017, 488 coal-fired boilers have been demolished in Fuxin City, totaling 1020.085 steam tons, with subsidized funds of 21.18 million yuan. At the same time, Fuxin actively carried out bulk coal treatment projects, replaced 2000 small energy-saving and environmental protection boilers, and subsidized funds of 3 million yuan.

In order to strengthen the supervision and management of special funds and ensure the safety and efficiency of funds, Fuxin City strictly examines the boiler license, quality inspection report and environmental assessment procedures, establishes one stove and one file of basic information, and timely distributes subsidized funds to users who meet the dismantling subsidy standards and complete procedures.

After the removal of coal-fired boilers and the implementation of bulk coal treatment project, the environmental air quality in urban and rural areas of Fuxin City has been greatly improved. Since this year, the average concentration of PM2.5 in Fuxin City has been 35 micrograms per cubic metre, an improvement of 12.5%, the average concentration of PM10 is 67 micrograms per cubic metre, an improvement of 17.8%, and the air quality compliance rate is 81.6%, an increase of 4 percentage points.
